David Hunt is an Engineer/Paramedic with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and currently serves as the department’s Cancer and Health Coordinator. In this role, he leads efforts to reduce occupational health risks and improve cancer prevention strategies for firefighters.

He is an active member of several regional and statewide initiatives, including the FIRESCOPE Cancer Prevention Subcommittee, the San Diego County Health and Safety Committee, and SAFER (San Diego Area Firefighters for Emergency Response). He also serves as Chair of the San Diego County Cancer Prevention Subcommittee, where he guides collaborative health and safety initiatives across the region.
