Scott Jennie
Scott Jennie serves as both the California State Director and National State Director for the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN), where he leads national and statewide efforts to support firefighters, EMS personnel, and their families facing cancer. He oversees critical programs focused on education, peer support, and advocacy for those impacted by occupational cancer.
Scott chairs FCSN’s Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month committee, working closely with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) to develop nationwide campaigns on prevention and best practices. He is also a contributing author of the FCSN white paper, Doing It Right: Reducing Cancer in the Fire Service, which outlines evidence-based risk reduction strategies.
In addition to his work with FCSN, Scott co-chairs the FRANTIC committee (Firefighter Research Against Nicotine and Tobacco Use in California Firefighters), addressing tobacco-related health risks in the fire service. With more than 35 years in the fire service, he recently retired as a Fire Captain/Paramedic from the Laguna Beach Fire Department and continues to speak nationally on occupational cancer prevention and firefighter wellness.
