Joe has been with the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) since 2013 and currently serves as Chief Operations Officer. A 35-year fire service veteran, he retired as a Captain from the City of Fairfax Fire Department in Virginia in 2018.

A three-time cancer survivor, Joe is deeply committed to supporting firefighters through every step of a cancer diagnosis. He is equally dedicated to educating the fire service on modifiable risk factors and practical strategies to reduce carcinogen exposure and lower cancer risk.
